As with our photography, the filming projects are performed
under the seperate name of J.B Graphics. Our projects consist majorly of South
East venues with locations varying from The Bull Track to private low - key
spots. We have a selection of styles of our
work on this page varying from three major projects of which the trailers are
on display here, through to small edits from South East events and competitions. The three
DVD's mentioned above are very important to us as the fist of these (New Motion) is where
we started off our filming projects in 2004. Each one took roughly
a year to complete with the mini projects appearing in between.
Latest Project
By Riders For Racers: Bull Track 2008 race series.
Release: Nov 2008
'By Riders For Racers' is the title for our collection of footage from the Bull Track's 2008 race series.
The name is a twist on the 'By Riders For Riders' race series title, and contains footage from both practice
and race rounds, plus a segment on the dirt jump/ north shore area. Fairly wholesome then. The DVD is shorter
then our other DVD projects mainly due to trying to avoid a repetitive feel which could easily creep in on
this formula of film. As our main camrea was put out of action earlier in the year due to an incident at the
London 'Qashqai Challenge', several other cameras were borrowed to complete the project, which eventually
delayed completion time. We tried to include everyone who was present at the races, and the main content of this
DVD spans accross 5 chapters. If this is of interest to you or you would like information, please
e-mail and put the name of the DVD in the subject header.
The Motion series
New Motion
Jan 2006
In mid 2004 we began our first DVD project, under the name of New Motion. The aim
of the DVD was simply to capture the riders and locations all over the Southeast
we'd been photographing for the past few years in live motion, presenting it with
segments alternating between rider and area profiles. New Motion was the most
technically simple, but had a strong artistic forus which is reflected in the
cover artwork. The formula seemed to work well, and despite hardware limitations
we were pleased with the result.
The DVD contains 10 segments with locations including: Tunbridge Wells, PORC, Friston,
Esher Shore and more...
Elements
Jan 2007
Elements, being the second DVD, contains footage that was shot directly following New Motion.
The project started in January 2006 and followed through to January 2007 which started to
give the DVD's a feeling of a diary as to progress each year. Because of this the structure was
altered to keep the format fresh. The structure of Elements is based on progressing through the
year with segments based on seasons, and the various 'elements of ridng'. This idea was an attempt
to display the unique impact each season had on the sport. Despite sounding a very similar format to
another well-known Mountain Bike DVD, it is worth considering this idea was original and
produced 2 years before. It was also produced a year before a certain DVD titled 'Elementals'...
The line-up of venues stayed similar to New Motion, but included the French Alps for the Summer segment.
Elements is displayed over 9 chapters.
Free Motion
Jun 2008
Free Motion is the newest and cleanest of the series. Arriving late was all for good reason;
a lot of the stunts featured in the DVD were especially built with filming in mind, and a bad
Summer in '07 led to everything being pushed back a few months.
As the title may hint, Free Motion goes back to the roots of New Motion; showcasing rider
profiles alternating with some of the South East's finest area profile shots, from PORC through
to urban Trials in Eastbourne. As the blurb on the box states: 'Tighter shots and slicker riding
than before. New cameras and equipment led to an enhanced experience, bringing you closer to the action.

Bull Track Advert
Jul 2008
Since opening it's gates in 2007, The Bull Track (located near the East Sussex
town of Crowborough) has expanded fast enough to overtake it's rival South East
venues for quality rirding in just two years. It is well known amongst racers
as it was the only spot to hold a solid '08 race series, but apart from that is
fairly unknown to the general biking public. We were asked to create a trailer
with clips to educate such people, so here you have it...
Qashqai Final 2008 Highlights
May 2008
Possibly our favorite mini edit. The first year the 'Qashqai Urban Challenge' comes to
the South East of England ensured we were over to London in a shot. Being the finals made
it extra special and the result of a days-worth of filming is a compiled 3 minute cut
containing a mix of best tricks and favorite clips from the day.
Fox Shox 'Wherever You Ride'
Nov 2007
Fox Shox were running a short film competition under the title 'Wherever you ride' where
you had to display a short story of either your riding day or an epic once-in-a-lifetime
trip in a two minute cut. We had felt our version (above) was a little linear and some
of the cutting wasn't great, but we were obviously very stoked to get the news through
that our version had earned an 'honourable mention' place on their website.
The Bike Show 2007
Apr 2007
The National Bike Show 2007. After swapping hands and being on shakey grounds for a few years
we were under the impression it was finally here to stay. 2008 saw no NBS so maybe that makes
this video a little more special. Back at the NEC in Birmingham, the show was downsized but had
access to the 'Arena' which is where the riding took place. The King of Dirt had a round hosted
here, featued in this video. It was at the time when the front-flip was the new thing, so crowd
appreciation was noticable and a rare shot at the time this was filmed...
