DMR Pump Track Challenge at the London Bike Show
Shoretrax prepare for the London Bike Show 2012!
From the 12th to the 15th January 2012 London’s Excel will play host to four of the UK’s biggest consumer shows. The Outdoors Show, London Boat Show, Active Travel Show and the London Bike Show make for a great day out. Now in its second year the London Bike Show has grown with more exhibitors and even more attractions.
The DMR Pump Track Challenge at the London Bike Show promises to give visitors the show the chance to see exciting head to head mountain bike racing. Shoretrax will be bringing along two of their portable timber pump tracks which will enable riders to race head to head. Daily competitions will see the fastest rider’s progress through a series of heats culminating in a daily final to decide the winner!
The four days of the show feature a packed program of head to head racing, with the best riders in the UK in action each day in pursuit of the DMR cash prize fund.
World Cup 4X racer and pump track racer Scott Beaumont said: “This is a first for an indoor show in the UK. Pump track racing brings all of the mountain bike disciplines of Cross Country, Downhill, 4X and Dirt Jumping together with no clear favouritism. It’s the combination of skills needed by the fastest that makes it so exciting to watch and difficult to predict the winner. The head to head format on the Shoretrax portable trail guarantees that the DMR Pump Track Challenge will be a fantastic showcase for the top riders at the London Bike Show at Excel. I can’t wait for the gate to drop in January”.
Shoretrax portable timber pump track can be set up in under and hour, track sections fold fully flat and will fit into the back of a transit van. The modular sections enable tracks to be set up in a number of layouts and the Pump Track has been by far the most popular to date. This is the first time that two tracks have been run head to head and the compact flowing circuits will make for spectacular racing.
