About J.A.B UK

The name J.A.B has its humble beginnings back in 1999. This was formed by a group of three riders each initial of their first name forming the J,A and B. A fairly standard formula in that case... It all started off with the typical photographing local riding sessions thing, which soon got put into a seasonal photo magazine. Over time, riders who joined us came and went (mainly 'grew' out of riding) but the name stuck almost as a brand. Photo sessions expanded to DVD's, which expanded to the web. Which ever it was, the simple initiative to illustrate that the South East is for riding bikes was put first. This page aims to show where all things fell into place, and gives a little info about those who make things tick...

The J.A.B Timeline

The People Behind J.A.B UK

Name: Ben Wain.

D.O.B: 17.04.85

Rides: As varied as possible. Prefer the full-suss in honesty and most often caught doing Downhill and Shore.

Chores: Site design & maintenance, Forum admin, event photography & filming (more filming than photography).

Like: Digging trails and the mentioned above so long as there's not heaps of pressure!

Dislike: People who take themselves too seriously instead of the spot. Its meant to be fun...

Name: Jason Wain.

D.O.B: 19.11.90.

Rides: Kona Stinky for the DH and FR and Flow Drift for the occasional Dirt, Street and XC!

Chores: Forum admin (though don't do as much as I should!), photographer and do the odd bit of filming.

Like: Actually being able to ride my bike when I get the opportunity and getting a good shot.

Dislike: Chavs. Yummy-mummies in their Cayenne's. The amount of time Work and College takes up.

How J.A.B Ticks

We always appreciate hearing from others about what's going on locally. Although the majority of news is sourced by ourselves its always a massive help when people come forward and let us know is something is happening or if they have an announcement to make about their local venue. We will review it, and if we see it suitable it will go up on the main news page for everyone to see.
