Mini DH at PORC
29.6.09

We have been keeping a close eye on this one, and it seems the PORC rollercoaster of surprises doesn't seem to want to slow
down. The latest announcement is that the 661 Mini DH series will be hoping to host a round at the troubled venue on August 8th
- the day before the NPS 4X. More info is expected to appear
here
soon.
Animal Tour South East dates
24.6.09

The Animal Bike Tour is back rumbling around the UK this year, and the good news is two dates have been listed for our region:
Eastbourne 18th-19th July and Canterbury 23rd August. Find more info on the locations
here. The bar has been raised for the tour this year with bigger stunts and
a re-worked set up, so be prepared for some amazing riding to go down from the legend Martyn Ashton and Dirt Jump nut Sam Pilgrim!
To confirm rumours...
19.6.09

PORC has recently caused quite a stir when it was announced it was closing after continuous theft problems. Fresh
rumours have been going round again, so we got in touch with the sources to get the facts: 1.Only part of PORC is for sale
(So yes it is still open). This is to help fund the completion of the new building. 2. A new uplift service is operational
for the downhill, as from tomorrow! More to follow soon...
BFCC July race dates
18.6.09

A reminder of dates for the Bedgebury Forest Cycle Club's XC series comes for the final two rounds being held in July - on the 4th
and 18th. The course is specifically built for the series and doesn't use the marked singletrack - which will be open as usual.
Anyone can enter, any ability, any bike; its all pretty good stuff. Find out more now on the
BFCC website.
New Broadwater developments
10.6.09

After the RSPB took over Broadwater Forest, East Sussex and announced a cycling ban on the area, local riders have created a fair
amount of protest to local media about the issue. A new consultation has launched which gives a chance for public views to be heard
on the project. A glimmer of hope for local riders? Read more on the proposal
here and stay tuned for updates!
