Southern XC entries open

Online entry for the Southern XC Chamionships is set to open today, and offers the chance to take part in a 5 race series accross the South of England. Although most rounds are just out of our priximity (Hampshire area), the series is once again using Pippingford in East Sussex which is great news for everyone. Get your online entry booked in here for what promises to be the best year yet for the series.

Youth skills @ The Trax

The Trax is a club driven by forward thinking people. It's base is at Lordship Rec in Tottenham, North London and has been coming up with all sorts of ideas for the future of the venue and community. Its latest announcement is that it will be running 5 free skills sessions for 10 to 16 year olds, every Saturday morning from the 6th Feb to the 6th March. Read on.

BikeRadar Live

Last year, BikeRadar Live proved it was able to pick up the reigns from the legendary show 'Bike Live', by including insane riding action, activities and garb to buy. The best news has to be that 2010 sees the show being located slap-bang in the South East! Brands Hatch in Kent will be playing host on 10th-11th July and things seem to be gearing up already. Leith Hill Oil & Gas update

A while ago, some may remember some news to do with Oil & Gas exploration on Leith Hill. Europa (the company behind the proposal) has now submitted a revised application for the work after objections were raised. The only problem is that it still doesn't address the Leith Hill Action Group's concerns. To find out more about the whole situation and re-vote, visit this page now.

Aston Hill race dates

Aston Hill has decided to kick start the South East's 2010 Downhill race calendar by announcing 3 new races for the year , the first of which is set for March 14th. The venue boasts some of the best DH in the region, and will be launching with the infamous 'Black run'. Other dates are 4th July and 12th Sept. Book here at £25 for Adults and £23.50 for Juniors (under 18's).

Bedgebury dig days

If you are looking for more ways to work off excess weight in the new year besides using your bike, Bedgebury Forest Cycle Club might just have the solution for you. Continuing from the previous year are their 'trail maintenance' days, which occur every second Saturday of the month. An extremely satisfying way of burning off Winter flub, we reckon. Snow provides the opportunity to build those ramps you've always wanted to build which haven't been possible. You know, the type that you wouldn't normally get away with, like this one - a road gap we built in some posh hotel grounds. No damage done to the gardens and easy to build. Check it!
